Imago Relationship Therapy

Imago is an approach for working with couples, individuals, parents, co-workers, all kinds of relationships. Imago therapy explores the internalized images which set expectations and patterns of behavior in relationships.  You  can work to understand the beliefs you  hold about yourself and others, e.g. “I’m not good enough” or “You’ll abandon me.”   In couples there is often an unconscious choice of your partner to evoke childhood wounds.  Once you and your partner understand both of your wounds and what you are seeking from each other, new responses can be accessed to facilitate healing and connection.  New beliefs and corrective images of self and other(s) can be cultivated to allow a richer, fuller experience of your life and relationships.  Imago offers a “toolkit” of skills for repairing conflicts and sustaining positive intimacy.
